The REIV appoints First AML as its preferred AML compliance provider

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) is pleased to announce First AML as its preferred Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) compliance provider for Members across Victoria.

This move aligns with the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) and other state and territory Real Estate Institutes in endorsing a single trusted provider for the industry.

Interim Chief Executive Officer, Jacob Caine, said: “Victorian real estate professionals need more than just a tool, they need clarity, training and a solution that fits the realities of agency life.

First AML delivers intelligent technology, expert-led guidance and practical rollout support. Their alignment with REIA and other Institutes gave us confidence that they’re not just a provider – they’re part of the industry’s broader readiness strategy.” First AML’s platform supports agencies across the full compliance lifecycle, including identity verification, ownership structure analysis, automated risk assessments, ongoing monitoring and central recordkeeping.

With strategic partnerships with Alpha AML Training and One AML, the REIV’s Membership will benefit from a fully integrated solution built for the real estate sector.

Milan Cooper, CEO of First AML, said: “We welcome the REIV’s decision as further proof of strong national momentum toward a unified and practical compliance approach. From the Real Estate Institutes to leading networks, the real estate sector is coming together around a single approach, one that is scalable, informed by local insight and backed by practical support. We’re proud to play our part in enabling that transition for Victoria’s real estate professionals.”

To support implementation, the REIV and First AML will roll out a staged education programme across the coming months. This will include tailored webinars, in-person education events and regular communications aligned to key AUSTRAC milestones. The goal is to equip every member with the tools, knowledge and confidence to meet their AML/CTF obligations by 1 July 2026.
