The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) has expanded the member service offering with a specialist legal service, giving members direct access to experienced commercial and property lawyers who specialise in representing real estate agents at no additional cost.
Complementing the proven success of the REIV Information Line, the legal advice service offers a free initial consultation with a legal practitioner. Members can access advice on disputes, contracts, trust accounts, risk management, compliance, and the full range of legislation affecting the profession.
Made possible through a partnership with Rex Afrasiabi and New Chapter Legal, REIV members will now have access to a free, no obligation initial confidential consultation with an experienced legal practitioner whom understands the real estate industry.
Megan Mander, Chief Operating Officer, stated that the initiative reflects REIV’s commitment to supporting its members in a challenging regulatory landscape.
“Real estate professionals must stay compliant with an ever-expanding raft of legislation and obligations. With frequent reforms and growing workloads, it is vital that our members have access to trusted legal advice,” said Ms Mander.
“Following years of success with our established REIV Information Line, we have expanded our service offering to include legal advice. Further, it is conveniently accessed through the REIV’s existing phone and email channels, ensuring support is just a call or click away.”
